Randomness

Lots of things going through my mind today . . . kind of random.

Funny Bailey sayings . . .

1. I caught Bailey making snow angels outside and asked her who taught her how to do that. She promptly replied "Max and Ruby showed me on my DVD player." I think she has been watching too much TV.

2. After coming in from playing out in the snow . . . "Dadd
y, start a fire please, my buns are cold."

3. After seeing a very large Christmas wreath in our church foyer - "Look mom, it's a circle Christmas tree."

4. At Walmart, Bailey loudly announced "I need to go pee pee." I asked her if she could wait 5 minutes - she said "NO! My pee-pee coming out and it's going to get Cinderella all wet!" I think the whole store heard her.

Fun pictures. . .

Bailey driving her new jeep in the driveway on her birthday.

Daddy's buddies bought a little bus to take to concerts, games, etc. Bailey loves buses, so we had to go check it out. It has since been painted, windows tinted, and the interior redone. Too funny.

Our potty training saga . . .

So we're 7 months into the potty training process. Bailey has been pee-pee trained for almost 7 months now. I trained her over Memorial Day weekend and she's probably only had 10 or less accidents since. Most of the time, she can manage the whole process by herself (depending on what she's wearing). That's the good news.

The bad news . . . the poop training hasn't gone so well. The first few months I just thought she wasn't ready - scared to poop in the toilet. Then, she actually started going randomly. Then, she started holding it and only having a BM every 4 or 5 days. She was going in the toilet, but not very often. Then, she had a painful one and we went downhill. She cried every time we put her on the toilet and was obviously holding it. It got so bad I talked to the doctor about it at her 3-year checkup last week. The doctor suggested I give her a glycerin suppository to get things "cleared out" and then give her Miralax for the next 30 days to help her get more "regular." So, I followed doctor's orders. I gave her the "poop medicine." Well, I think it traumatized her so much it may have done the trick. She has made a normal, kid-size poop in the toilet the past 3 days. She is scared to death I'm going to give her more poop medicine. Oh, I hate potty training! We'll see how the next few days go.

I hope this finds you well. We had a great Christmas - will write more soon!
